30 Day Challenge - I'm a little behind!

My pal Mere at The Babblings of Mere is doing a 30 day challenge on her blog. She has a list of 30 miscellaneous topics that she can write about each day. While I don’t think I will do all of them (because I don’t think I’m capable of writing about my 3 favorite colors), I do want to try some of them.

Anything to help lead me back into the world of habitual blogging!!

I started this post on Monday but had some trouble with pictures, so I'm playing a little catch up.

#1 Your middle name, and how you feel about it

I happen to like my middle name very much. It’s simple, it’s short, and it came from my father.

It’s Lee!

Lee is my father’s middle name, and the only story I ever heard was that it came from someone who saved or impacted my grandfather’s life in some way. That might be true. Or it might have been a little story someone made up to make me feel like my name was somehow more special. Not that they needed to – I’ve always liked that part of my name comes from my Dad. It’s something that we share that’s unique to anyone else in the family.

#2 Talk about your piercings or tattoos, if you have any

I don't happen to have any tattoos, and my piercings are pretty standard -- two in each ear.  Originally I had my ears pierced as a little girl, I think when I was in 3rd or 4th grade, but unfortunately I wasn't so good at taking care of them and eventually we let them heal up.  We gave it a whirl again in jr. high, and this time I figured it out.  Later, during my sophomore year, I was at the mall with my friend Candie and we decided I should get double piercings.  I remember worrying a little that maybe I should be okaying this with my mom first, but I also knew she wasn't the type to think this was a bad idea.  Sure enough, she didn't really care.  Because it also happened to be the day that my parents went to "back to school" night and met my teachers -- who told them I wasn't doing so well in school -- and I was subsequently grounded for the rest of my life.

Good day -- bad day.

#3 Your favorite television program

I'm torn!!  There are so many good shows out right now that I love for different reasons!  So let me give three.  Because it's my blog and I can if I want to!

For laugh out loud hilarious when I need a smile there's Modern Family.  Does it get any better than this??

For family time to laugh with my kids it's The Middle for this family.  My kids and I imitate Brick on a regular basis, and they think Axel is completely hilarious because he's always in his underwear.  And what can you say about poor Sue?

For more drama when the kids are asleep, I love The Good Wife.  Great writing, great characters, great stories.  I love this show!  And  I swear it's not just because Mr. Big is on it.  (Though it doesn't hurt.)

There, I'm caught up to day 3 of the challenge.  If you join in, be sure to comment here so that I can go and read yours!
Happy Wednesday!

Your so lucky your middle name is easy!!! I have piercings like yours as well, but you'll have to wait until my piercings post to see what else I have pierced. hahah I haven't watched any of the shows you have listed, but I want to watch Modern Family at somepoint. My roommate always DVRs it so I'll tune in with her one day. GREAT post :)
